A popular shrub that blooms from July until frost. Adds needed color in summer and works well with perennials. Cut back close to the ground in winter to keep the plant looking its best. Pink, red, blue, yellow, and white.

Kerria
Kerria japonica 'pleniflora'
This plant offers a burst of color in early summer with double yellow flowers and bright green foliage. I have always used it in the shade and it seems happy there.

Winter Honeysuckle
Lonicera fragrantissima
A very early blooming and extremely fragrant plant. Lemon scented creamy white flowers followed by red fruit in late May. Blooms on last years wood so don't trim it in the spring or you will be removing blossoms. A good plant to use for hedges.
Grows 6'x6' easily.

If you have ever seen this plant I bet it is one of your favorites too. Not very commonly planted but it should be! Slow grower when small. Gets to be a rather large tree growing 120'! Hardy in zone 4. I have seen a large specimen in Southern Michigan. A magnificent plant.

Twisted Hinoki Cypress
Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Torulosa'
An unusual conifer with twisted coral like foliage. Forms a nice irregular pyramid with an attractive green color. These semi dwarf container grown plants are available for spring 2000.

A nice smaller golden pisifera. A very popular form and color. Most people use 'Gold Thread', 'Golden Mops' and 'Lemon Thread' interchangeably depending on availability. All the plants are different in mature size and color intensity.

Tsuga canadensis 'Gentch White'
This plant is always in demand and usually sold out unless you order quickly. Beautiful white tips on this hemlock brighten up the shade. Afternoon protection from the sun helps it look its best. A compact shrub that forms a mounding globose bush.
