Northwood Gardens - MI
Image5.jpg (9326 bytes)
This is the outside of one of Paul Will's polyhouses. He has about a dozen houses used for growing at his garden center.. This house is more visible than the others and is seen by everyone pulling into the parking area.

During the Summer most polyhouses are somewhat of a "dead" area. Most nurserymen store unused pots, soil, equipment in these areas until winter or spring when they are needed for growing again. This shot shows a growing bench and extra pots stacked in a corner.

Paul asked a couple of his employees to make the visible polyhouse "pretty". They set up a small pond, added seating, and tons of retile items and plants to spice up the area.

Now when you walk through the polyhouse you don't even notice the storage areas, pots, benches or fertilizer injector.  The polyhouse has been transformed into a great retile area.

There is a great selection of retail items used in the display. Seating, arbors, wind chimes, stepping stones, hanging baskets, fountains, statues, bird feeders, gazing balls, and much more. Customers use the area to rest and browse. Paul said there are several local children who ride their bikes to the nursery and spend time in hanging out in here.
