Terms and conditions of sale
This is my condensed version of the General Information section of the
Sherman Nursery catalog. Please use it as a guideline only.
Qualified purchasers
All customers must possess and provide a copy of a valid nursery dealers license.
Minimum order
Sherman Nursery has no minimum order! They do require that plants be ordered
in multiples as stipulated throughout the catalog. Multiples are very reasonable
and range from 1 to 100 of a plant. Please use these multiples.
Delivery costs
Average size orders of bare root nursery stock delivered to IN, MI, OH, and KY
and sent on tractor trailer combinations loads will average 6-10% of the plant
material cost. Delivery via UPS or motor freight are commonly used for smaller
orders. Boxing and bailing charges will apply. Call if you need a more specific
shipping cost quotation. I seldom receive a shipping cost complaint concerning
Sherman Nursery!
 Acknowledgments
Order acknowledgments are mailed as soon
as possible. For specific questions concerning
your order or plant availability please contact
me directly.
Cancellations
Please order what you intend to purchase.
If you find it necessary to adjust your order
please do so by December 15th. This will allow us to offer the material at the
January trade shows.
Volume Discounts
Sherman Nursery offers discounts based on the the dollar volume you purchase
in a one year period. Discounts begin when you spend as little as $2500.00. You
can save up to 13% off catalog pricing. The rebate schedule is explained in more
detail in the yearly catalog.
Credit Application
A simple and painless credit application is available in the catalog or by
request.
Sherman's normal terms are net 30 days to established accounts. Visa, Discover,
MasterCard, and American Express are also accepted. COD or advance payment
may be required for some accounts. Again, more complete information is available
in the catalog.
Claims
Claims regarding damages or shortages must be made within 10 days after delivery
of stock.
